Rock the Data / Rock the Casbah

Rock is not dead just as artificial intelligence will not bury Data or statistics...

As I embarked on the entrepreneurial adventure, I remembered how difficult it is to find a name when you play music and have a band... As I often do when I'm looking for ideas, I read or listen to music. Looking at my many CDs (ok... I'm going to lose the younger ones...), I saw AC/DC, Jimi, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Frank Zappa, Radiohead... and then I don't know why I get to The Clash, I started humming one of their songs. The Clash created links between Rock, Punk, World Music and the World (just that... I'm getting carried away here). Rock the Casbah transformed in my head into Rock the Data... damn... it rocks! For those who don't know the Clash, take a listen... Rock the Casbah is a song in reaction to the ban on rock music in Iran in the early 80s and telling the story of a fictional people who decides to oppose this decision by rocking the city! That's it, it was born like that... I was asked why not Data on the Rock, but I thought it was too cocktail... I couldn't see running a company called Highway to Data, Data on the Storm , Sympathy for the Data, Data Police or Data Yoyo (I'll let you find the references...).
